Across the country, merry maker will be raising a glass to toast the coming of 2016 this New Year’s Eve. If all that celebrating leaves you toasted, don’t run the risk of drunk driving. Instead, you can get a Safe Ride Home from Christensen Law.

This Thanksgiving, Christensen Law launched its Safe Ride Home program to make sure everyone made it home for the holidays. We know that alcohol is part of many New Year’s Eve celebrations too. So we’ve decided to extend the program and help everyone get home safely after ringing in 2016. Owner David Christensen says:

“Based on the success we had with our ‘Safe Ride Home’ program for Thanksgiving Eve, we wanted to continue the program for New Year’s Eve as a service to the community. We’re proud to say we helped over 125 people return home safely.”

The issue is personal to David Christensen, who for years has volunteered with and served on boards for the Washtenaw Council on Alcoholism, Spectrum Treatment and Prevention Services, and others that deal with alcohol/drug addiction.

The lawyers at Christensen Law help the victims of drunk driving accidents every day. They know how one bad decision can change your life and the lives of any innocent people you hit.

According to the U.S. National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA), 40% of traffic-related deaths around Christmas and New Year’s involve drunk drivers – that’s 12% higher than the rest of December. Across the country, 54 people per day die because of a drunk driving accident around New Year’s Eve.
