If your tree is in contact with a high voltage line, do not try to trim the tree. Trees conduct electricity and can shock or even kill you. It’s actually the duty of the utility company to keep trees from coming into contact with high voltage electrical lines. If you see a tree near a utility line that you think may be unsafe, call the electric company. They will send someone out to take care of the situation in a safe manner.
